Canada must stop selling arms to Saudi Arabia
0 have signed. Let’s get to 10,000!
Canadians must speak out together to stop our government from continuing the sale of Canadian-made arms to Saudi Arabia, an illegitimate and brutal regime. The sale includes providing training to Saudi military.
Even before the unlawful and brutal murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey, the war Saudi Arabia is waging in Yemen has caused one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises in which innocent Yemenis, especially children, continue to suffer death and mutilation by air strikes, starvation and disease.
We can not allow Canada to be complicit in the human rights atrocities that are being committed by Saudi Arabia. The previous and current Canadian governments have misrepresented the nature of the arms being sold to Saudi Arabia. We are putting arms in the hands of an irresponsible and unaccountable organization which uses torture, terror and murder to stifle dissent and criticism, not only in its own country, but in other countries also.
Please sign this petition to send a message to Prime Minister Trudeau and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chrystia Freeland, to end the sale of arms to Saudi Arabia.
