The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) exists to facilitate communication and involvement between student-athletes and administrators and to better integrate student-athletes into the general student body. This proposal, prepared by the SAAC, highlights a priority for the nearly 500 student-athletes who represent Campbell University on and off the competition arena. 

Many institutions recognize student-athletes during commencement ceremonies, with a visual acknowledgment of a cord, stole, or bib. This is an appropriate “nod” to the unique role these students play in the life of the university. Through this petition, student-athletes are seeking this type of recognition to be adopted as part of the Campbell University commencement exercises.
