Recently, a video came to light of one of our own Campbell Lacrosse players using a racial slur. In this video, he even had the audacity to wear a Campbell Lacrosse jacket. This is not the first time a member of our Lacrosse team has been documented using derogatory (i.e racial and homophobic) slurs. It has caused divide within our student population and we, the students, want to see those involved properly punished.

As an International Baccalaureate school and a school with people of a variety of intersectionalities, we should strive to ensure that everyone feels safe and welcome at all times. It's a shame that we have a successful lacrosse team that won't be known for their successes, instead the homophobia and hatred that they spew. As students, we do not want small minded individuals representing our school. They do not properly represent us and we deserve better. 

Please sign this petition if you would like the Campbell High School Administration to take these offenses seriously and hear our concerns. We would like to see those involved removed from the Campbell Lacrosse team.
