The current works in High Street, Rushworth that intrude into the roadway are intended as permanent pedestrian islands. This will seriously impact on the available parking outside the Waranga Medical Centre, Waranga Health, IGA Supermarket & Rushworth community bank. The narrowing of the carriageway will impact on the Rushworth Easter Parade & also make parking for tourists with caravans less convenient & thereby act as a disincentive to them stopping in the town.

We would like a suspension of these works, while the impact of the design on parking and amenity in the street is reviewed.
