Stop the temporary or permanent Homeless Trailer in our residential community.

Stop the temporary or permanent Homeless Trailer in our residential community.
Recently, Lanning Square West Residents was informed that Pastor Khan wants to place a temporary or permanent trailer on the vacant lot located at Fifth & Stevens Streets. The trailer will be housed there to provide services to the Homeless.
The City of Camden is providing homeless shelters and services throughout the city. The majority of the homeless population are not residents from the Camden community, but they are from other surrounding cities such as Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Newark, and New York.
Lanning Square West is predominantly a residential community. We are concerned because the drugs, violence, alcohol, trash, loud music, noise and the condition of the area after the daily closings of the trailer. Drug paraphernalia and other trash are left in the area. Our children walk to and from school, the store, their friends houses, playgrounds and etc. An elementary school is in proximity of this trailer.
There are numerous places in the city for the homeless to receive services. We do not need another mobile services in our community.
It is time to have the Zoning Board to deny Pastor Khan’s mobile Trailer to be housed in our residential communities. It is bad for tourism, Camden economy, public safety, and public health.
