My name is Uma Plowman and I'm 16 years old. I have started this petition as, the Islington Council are trying to remove my cat and dog from  my home as they are a 'nuisance' to my neighbours. However, my dog (Spaniel) is a rescue dog that my uncle saved from Greece, so he's afraid of most people, meaning if he was taken out of mine and my mum's care it'd be very distressing for him as he would have been betrayed by yet another human. Not only this but Spaniel is my support dog. I found out last year that I have OCD and an eating disorder, and Spaniel and my cat Molly have both been there for me when I was at my lowest points. I honestly don't know what I'd do without them or even if I'd be here today without them. Not to mention that I've had Molly for nearly 8 years now and I love her as if she's my child, I've sat with her when she was giving birth to her first litter of kittens. Although people think cats are 'boring' and 'unloving' animals, Molly is truly the opposite and we have an unbreakable bond.

And just to add to all this, the person who reported my dog for barking is the man who lives in the bottom part of our house. This is the same man who's tried to LURE ME and my cousin into his home so him and his friend could 'record us singing'. He's the same man who has a constantly drunk friend staying with him who tries to kick down our door because my mum was watching a dog training video on YouTube which had dogs barking in it. He's also the same man who has climbed up our scaffolding to look inside our house. This mans name is Frank. Frank also stays up until 3am on school days having arguments, fighting and singing and playing the guitar with his friend. Frank is the real animal here and he's the one who should be REMOVED from my home.

And because of all this I am afraid to come into my own home  and I bolt all the doors shut when I'm home alone. I'm a 16 year old girl who's already struggling with mental health issues, so I think I'm already going through enough. And I shouldn't have to be afraid in my own home. So i'm taking a stand as this has gone on for too long. Please sign this petition so that I can keep my pets.
