It is a serious short sighted decision. It is impossible that any household would have sufficient space to fit the containers for a fortnight collection, even the bins are given for free.

Veolia is providing an abysmal service. There is not one single area where their performance has been satisfactory. I have dutifully complied with the new rules for over three months now. I still have yet to receive my garden waste bin (despite the fact that they happily took my money for it months ago!) I am still waiting for them to collect my old rubbish bins (despite calling on four separate occasions). This does not even take into account the rubbish that people now leave all along the road, blighting our neighbourhood because there is no decent service to collect rubbish. (Believe me, I am tempted to leave my rubbish at the top of the street as well-- what is one more abandoned bag of rubbish?) Now the final straw is that they failed to collect our food waste today, for no apparent reason at all. What am I going to do with a food waste bin full of stinky rotting food, and nowhere to put my food waste for a whole week?? This is disgusting and I am completely fed up. I sincerely hope the moron who came up with this brilliant plan has now been fired.

There is a major problem where I live regarding Street Dumping. I personally contact Veola several times a week regarding this. Decreasing Refuse Collection frequency will only increase this.

Camden have rolled this out unfairly and I'm sick of our building and street looking like a rubbish dump.

I wanted to give the council a chance on the new collections. 8 weeks in my area has properties that rubbish has never been collected. The rubbish is full of rats and spiking on the pavement.

The public health disaster foisted onto these beautiful London suburbs is already in full swing - bins full within days, fly tipping everywhere on my walk to work and I am even noticing an upsurge in flies from the second I walk out the door in the mornings. Olympian local government incompetence - this truly should have been on the national television news this week already. What a rundown shantytown shambles London has become. UNBELIEVABLE.

The lack of weekly collections is destroying our environment - rubbish is littered around. Animals are roaming around spilling garbage It will be a health hazard in any hot weather -

Winter of discontent? Jokes aside the situation is out of control with or without weekly collection, particularly then in more deprived areas of Camden. Some residents have difficulties to place their waste into binds provided let alone sort out recycling. More education and other measures are needed to prevent Camden looking like one huge dump. It feels like living in a developing country as opposed to 21st century cosmopolitan London. Camden keep our streets tidy please.
