Hi my name is tamzin and I'm a care leaver from cambridgeshire this petition is about the lack of children's homes in cambridgeshire.

The council recently closed down 2 children's homes in Cambridgeshire, leaving only 1 which now means around 90% of childeren going into the care system get placed out of county and sometimes a long way away from their family 

going into care is one of the hardest and traumatic  things a child could ever experience, they lose all their friends when they move away from the area they are from as they have to move schools as well as meeting new people and having their lives turned upside down and due lack of children's homes in the area that means they often have to move 50+ miles away from everything they know

I want the council to commit to investing more money into the social services sector of our county and open more children's homes in the area instead of buying a tescos when they apparently dont have enough  money to support the childeren of our county

Please help me make this happen as I know personally how hard it really is to go through this
