Last year, our children were forced to wear masks to school every day; covering their faces, hiding their smiles, muting their voices, inhibiting their breathing, and affecting their learning. This mask requirement was mandated by the governor, therefore; the schools had to oblige. However, this year we have a different situation on our hands! Governor Wolf stated last week that he is NOT considering a statewide mask mandate and is NOT requiring masks in schools. THIS IS GREAT NEWS! With that being said, the decision to mandate masks or to promote mask-choice is now up to each individual school board. That’s where WE come in! There has never been a more important time than now to let your voice be heard! As parents, we strongly believe it is our responsibility to make decisions for our children, their health, and their well-beings. We believe that each parent should be able to choose individually if they want their child to attend school with a mask on or without a mask on. We believe that the power of choice should be given back to the parents of Cambria County! We believe in MASK-CHOICE!
