Calvert City is perfectly located off of two major highways, providing the perfect opportunity for a sports tourism venue. Doctor's Park has provided thousands of local kids the opportunity to train and play baseball/softball for years, but our goal is to improve the fields/facilities and make a major impact on the local economy by bringing large baseball/softball tournaments to Calvert. Local business, hotels, gas stations, and other local business would see a major impact during the fall and summer months due to a major increase in traffic through the hub of Calvert City and Kentucky Lake area. Small fence/dimension changes, paired with resurfacing the current fields, and upgrades to the current seating would allow this to happen immediately.

Once improvements have been made, Lake Area Academy would look to join the Ohio Valley League, which is a collegiate summer league, bringing an exciting, family friendly venue/event to Calvert City.
