Stratford, California Needs A Turning Lane to Save Lives
Why this petition matters

The small rural unincorporated community of Stratford, Californial is located off one of the busiest highways in the California Central valley. Highway 41 is utilized heavily on a daily basis for commuters from the central valley to the central coast and back. Unfortunately this has created a dangerous situation for Stratford residence who must utilize highway 41 to gain access to their homes on their daily commutes to and from work. There have been multiple accidents and serious injuries to residence of Stratford trying to exit into Stratford off of highway 41 over the last 10 years. This is due to the lack of a turning lane into any of the exits going from highway 41 in to the community of Stratford. Stratford residents deserve the right to commute safely by being provided with the option of a turning lane into Stratford.
This is an obvious need with a simple solution. Caltrans needs to provide Stratford residence with safe access to and from Stratford by creating a turning lane off of highway 41 into the community of Stratford. Please support Stratford residence rights to a safe commute. Join us as we try to gain the attention of caltrans and ask for their assistance in creating this turning lane that could potentially save several lives per year.
