Divest from the 200 largest fossil fuel corporations.
This is a petition to be signed by Members of CalPERS—whether you are still working toward future retirment or you are currently retired and receiving benefits
The California Public Employees' Retirement System is the largest state pension fund in the country. Divestment from fossil fuels is both a sound financial decision for CalPERS, and the right decision for the future of the Earth.
IF YOU ARE A CalPERS MEMBER—PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION
Specifically, this petition asks for the following responsible steps to divest our money from the 200 largest fossil-fuel corporations—coal, oil and gas—known as the "Carbon Underground 200":
1. Immediately freeze new investments in fossil-fuels, and;
2. Within five years, divest completely from the 200 largest fossil fuel corporations.
