The Argyll and Bute SNP Council Group's 2017 Manifesto for Change pledged;  

"To broadcast all Council and committee meetings, opening the Council's decision-making processes to democratic scrutiny."

During the 2017 Council Election Campaign, SNP candidates campaigned hard on this pledge. For far too long Argyll and Bute Councillors have been able to tell their communities one thing and then do the complete opposite behind closed doors at Kilmory.

There is already widespread support for our pledge in the communities of Argyll and Bute.

Many Independent Councillors supported us on our pledge at hustings in their own communities.

In opposition on the Council and as SNP Spokesperson for Building Stronger Communities, I will continue to be a champion for democratic scrutiny.

I ask for your support to take this issue forward in order that we can effect a policy change to ensure that council meetings are broadcast.
