May 3rd is a very important Polish holiday, due to the very large quantity of Polish citizens in Chicago, I would like to sign a petition to call school off on May 3rd for Polish Constitution Day in order to give respect for those who celebrate this monumental day. This day can be filled in at the end of the year by adding one day at the end of the school year if missing one day is a big issue. Chicago has the second largest Polish population in the world which is right behind the capital of Poland(Warsaw), so this adds to the fact that numerous people celebrate this day yearly and with great enthusiasm. This is not an excuse to cut classes for a day. This idea is presented to show respect for the Polish population. Please sign to show your support!!!
