Call on Met to fix mislabeling: Degas’ dancer is Ukrainian, not Russian.

Both the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston persist in incorrectly labeling Edgar Degas' drawings of Ukrainian Dancers as Russian.
After considerable public outcry, the National Gallery in London has corrected its labeling of Degas' work to “Ukrainian Dancers.”
Oksana and I are asking you to sign this petition to correct the mislabeling of Degas' artwork at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and to justly recognize the Ukrainian cultural heritage of his subjects.
Photos of the pastel drawing from our visit to the museum in April 2022 are attached to this petition. We contacted the museum several times, but did not receive any reply.

Нижче наведені фотографії роботи Дега з нашого візиту до музею у квітні 2022 року. Ми кілька разів зверталися до музею, але відповіді не отримали.
