As many have noticed, there have been some posters going up around downtown, Centretown and the Beechwood area that contain harmful racist/xenophobic messages on them.

These posters that Diffuseart puts up are calling for a boycott of all Chinese products and events; This coming weekend(July 22-24) is both the Ottawa Asian Festival and the Chinatown Night Market. 

Diffusart has been postering these harmful posters almost daily all over downtown and nearby areas, and community members are concerned that these posters may incite hate or violence towards Asian folks, local small businesses and the upcoming events this weekend. 

With all of the anti-Asian hate that has already been happening due to Covid and the convoy, we need to stand up against this sort of dangerous and hateful rhetoric towards our fellow community members. 

This petition is to call on Diffusart to cease the postering of these racist and xenophobic posters in our communities - hate has no home here.
