At the Olympics, announcements are always spoken in French and English and in the language of the host country.

It would be a powerful statement and recognition of Australia's First Nations people to have all announcements in the official languages of the IOC (French and English) and in the language of the Indigenous people on whose land the Brisbane Olympics will be held.

Please support this call for the Australian Olympic Committee, the Queensland government and the Australian government to take this opportunity for our country to recognise and celebrate that the language of this land is not just English, and that this should be done in collaboration with the First Nations traditional owners.
