" Am I the only one who hears the children's cry for change in our schools?" 

 Join me in demanding better for our children. 

Baltimore County, MD:  I was pleased to see our County Council take a positive step for our schools in its call for a national search for a new Superintendent. I ask that they do one more thing- refuse to renew the contract for Superintendent Williams. While I appreciate and respect the collective wisdom of the Council, I feel action must be taken to send a clear message. Our children and results matter.  

Our schools are in crisis ! It is time for Mr.Williams to resign so that our educational system can get back on track . 

 In addition to a new Superintendent and higher academic standards, bullying and violence need to be addressed,  not ignored. I have been contacted by many parents  who ask me  to work with the schools, police, and parents to come up with solutions. Of course, we also have the news reports that highlight tragic violent incidents in our schools. The next school  superintendent must be ready on day one to make these and other school related issues a priority.  

I am asking residents and County Executive, John Olszewski, to join me in calling for Mr.Williams resignation. Our schools are in a crisis,  the time for action and leadership is NOW. This is not a matter that should be swept under the rug until after the next election. Our citizens expect better and our children deserve better !
