Right now CSUEB is trying to cancel classes. These are classes that are necessary and essential for students, weeks before many have even received their financial aid. Some students haven't even been able to enroll in classes yet as finals have started and they may be too preoccupied. Others may not have the money yet. There is talk of canceling classes more than a month before classes are even set to begin. This disproportionately affects students of color, lower income students, and working students as well. This is a call to get CSUEB to keep classes open long enough to allow students time to actually register. Don't close classes before January 10th to allow students a real chance to register. It is said that CSUEB strives to help students and that they are proud of the diversity housed within. However this is not being shown as this is targeting those diverse students they are so proud of. We are tired of being used as a token and not actually considered. CSUEB stand by your ideals and keep classes open to actually help students be able to succeed.
