For those who have experienced dealing child protective services know a grimacing reality that unfortunately has proven its self over and over and over to the exhausting point where hearing of a child protective services employee telling the truth is now the oddity. Federal incentives that promote the taking of children and separation of families clearly are not going to be repealed. Adoptions have bonuses that follow a formula where anywhere from $4,000 to 6,000 usd and often an additional 2,000 if the child is deemed to have a special need and has to be medicated. This bonus is then paid by the federal government once a child has successfully been adopted out of foster care. Then this bonus is multiplied by the number of adoptions that exceed the states adoption goals based on population. When A child is reunited with the original family there is a bonus of 0.00 and so very VERY often the investigators work to secure the incentives provided by the adoption act originated by Walter Mondale but then was expanded into the adoption and safe family act by President Bill Clinton in 1997. So in order for the states to receive these financial incentives their has to be more children in foster care, they must have merchandise and plenty of them so the buyer can choose. In order to make this happen CPS workers often but not always twist and fabricate allegations or conversations into allegations and even withhold or destroy evidence that would support the reunification of the families. So investigators need to be help to the same standards as police officers who in their civic duty now are mandated to wear body cams and this safeguard has repeatedly proven effective against embellishment and fabrication and a penchant for omission. CPS documents are summarized to fill forms and this summary often leaves devastation with for whatever reason negative factors made it in and positive factors didn’t make the cut. So this petition homes to accomplish that all CPS encounters be recorded and conversations recorded and then this recorded information be made available to the families who’s children have been taken. This is just a small step towards finding some fairness in regards to the meat grinder that is family court and the lower income often single parent families that it grinds into nothing. Protect America’s families and children.
