Students Demand Gun Law Changes
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
We the youth of the United States of America, are outraged by the Government’s inaction to prevent school shootings. Congress needs to stop being afraid of the NRA and do something to protect the people it governs. Students are forced by law to attend school till grade twelve, and should not be put in danger by doing so. We demand that Congress pass the following laws to prevent these reoccurring massacres from ever happening again. We demand:
- Raise the minimum age to purchase any assault weapon to twenty one years old.
- Tighten background checks and bar people diagnosed with certain mental illnesses from buying guns.
- Disallow immediate purchases via online or at gun shows which circumvent 1-2 above.
- Pass a law that allows detainment for psychological evaluation and removal of weapons from people making public threats against students and schools.
