I wanted to make this petition for our poor sierra middle school students. they specifically said on the uniform policy and dress code policy that the dress code and uniform policy is for students not to get distracted but how is our shoulders distracting you? how is our color of our shirts or the logos on our shirt distract students? or our stomach showing? because by the look of it it’s not the students that are being distracted it’s the teachers who can’t keep there eyes to themselves because everytime we get dress coded it’s the TEACHERS who point it out for example i was wearing a regular t shirt that did not show my chest and the next day i came to school and the school officer went up to me and said that a lot of teachers reported me for showing to much “cleavage” why are you even looking at a child like that? we are growing up and becoming young adults we should be able to come to school wearing the clothes that we buy and NOT feel uncomfortable by anybody and we understand that we can’t wear very inappropriate stuff that we know will get peoples attention but all we ask is to wear the clothes that we have at home that are comfortable and not inappropriate and if the school doesn’t agree, well then there gonna have to buy us all a uniform, because i’m not going to be wearing the same clothes over and over again . i don’t wanna keep going shopping for new clothes all the time and my mom doesn’t either.
