Stop PG&E from Extorting California Citizens

PG&E, a privately held company out of San Francisco, has excessively and continuously raised rates to the point where basic needs of electricity and heating are no longer affordable. Some have seen an increase of 300% in less than 5 years while others have reported their December bill alone triple from December last year.
PG&E has now attempted to raise rates again, with the approval of the California Public Utilities Commission. This increase will cost Californians nearly 2 billion dollars over the next 2 years. Thousands of Californians saw their December bill reaching prices matching their mortgage payments. PG&E needs to be held responsible for their mismanagement of their infrastructure and their fiances and not pass the buck on to the consumer. In most parts of California we have no other options for electricity and gas.
We need the California Public Utilities Commission to do its job and protect Californians from unfair and monopolistic practices of the privately held company PG&E, and deny this increase.
