Regulate the per milage rates that are paid to California Ride Sharing Drivers by Transportation Networking Companies.

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,500!

This is very important to our community of drivers to maintain a safe and productive work ethic and keep corporations from taking advantage of their fleet. People should support this petition to prevent the mistreatment of TNC drivers.

These Tech Start-Ups have been given far too much ease to fluctuate their pricing creating smoke and mirrors for their hardworking drivers. People that bought into one business model only to get shafted into another less viable one.

My own experience was as follows:

September 2013:Signed on for a 3.00 start meter+2.35 a mile, .45 a minute wait time a mile with a 20% commission. Minimum fare $8.00

February 2014:Rates dropped as a "Promotional Experiment" to 3.00+1.50 a mile, .30 wait time with a 5% commision. This was stated to be a temporary reduction for strategic marketing purposes.

April 2014:Per mile Rates stayed at 1.50 per mile and commission was put back to 20%.

Feb 2018

since then the rates paid per mile have dropped well below 1.00 and these companies have still not been indicted for theft. They keep the consumers happy and claim that this is self regulation.

The impact that this has on small business is severe. All we want is what we signed on for.

Fares shall be locked in to a rate of 3.00 at drop and 2.35 a mile as they were set.  The company shall take no more than a 20% commission.
