I am aware that pe in California is required to pass high school requirements. Yet you also have to be counter intuitive about this, due to these two years ( two semesters each of pe) takes away my or any persons chance of taking more ap or academic classes that I would like to take. Also, coming from an athletes perspective I don’t agree with the fact that I participate in sports more then three hours a day for school yet somehow for some reason I have to take pe to pass graduation requirements. As well as this, I don’t find this equitable for people who put time and effort in school yet still have to take pe just to pass when UC and CSU don’t require any physical education.
