Music Programs should be reincorporated in all schools K-12 in the State of California. In the past, budget cuts have done away with the teaching of the Musical arts and in turn, caused teachers to lose their jobs and the young minds to miss out on opportunities to accelerate the development of their brains.  

A study conducted by Neuroscientists at USC concluded that young brains can be at an advantage by playing a musical instrument. Playing an instrument and being more involved with the art of music can help the acceleration of the areas of the brain responsible for processing sound, language development, speech perception, and reading skills. 

So you see, the development of these skills can be of the essence for young developing brains. At the same time, it will give students the necessary skills to achieve higher test scores and in the process of becoming successful functioning adults. So please, sign this petition and help bring the Art of Music back into our schools. Our children deserve more than to sit wasting away in front of a T.V. all day.
