As a breast cancer survivor myself, I urge Maria's sentence be commuted since she cannot property be socially distanced and she as stage 2 breast cancer. She is especially vulnerable to Covid-19.

She has the right to humane treatment and this system is not going to do it for her, or anyone.

Maria deserves a safe world and justice, and prison amidst Covid times is not that. Releasing Maria is part of a better, more just world.

Release Maria Aredono now! Her life is at risk while she remains incarcerated. Fighting breast cancer is a tremendous hardship. Doing so in prison, while facing LWOP is inhumane. Maria is deserving of care and compassion. Her family is ready to care for her now. Do the right thing and let this elder be free to fight cancer with her family by her side!
