In honor of the late, great Betty White's lifelong love for and defense of animals, along with the current #BettyWhiteChallenge to donate $5 to a shelter of your choice on January 17th (what would have been her 100th birthday), I propose we unite to create a national movement, (starting in California), to designate January 17th as "Betty White Animal Rescue Day" to promote donations and adoptions at local shelters or rescue groups.
