Billy Peuplie started this petition to California Governor

We are asking California State Legislature to pass a law that would allow hemp derived CBD to be served in food and drinks. A recent state bill, AB 228, was held up in the State Senate. AB 228 stated as follows:

"This bill would state that a food, beverage, or cosmetic is not adulterated by the inclusion of industrial hemp or cannabinoids, extracts, or derivatives from industrial hemp, and would prohibit restrictions on the sale of food, beverages, or cosmetics that include industrial hemp or cannabinoids, extracts, or derivatives from industrial hemp based solely on the inclusion of industrial hemp or cannabinoids, extracts, or derivatives from industrial hemp."

We are seeking to provide customers with another option in the form of CBD (which is non-psychoactive) "mocktails" or "hemptails" in bars and restaurants. There is a growing sober curious movement in this country of people who don't want to drink alcohol but still want to relax and feel like they are a part of the group during social and dining experiences. We ask that California allow bars and restaurants to meet this growing need for relaxation without intoxication by allowing them to serve hemp derived CBD in food and drinks. Thank You.
