Non sterilized animals mate in the streets and then create more strays. The Humane society and animal shelters alike cannot hold all of these animals and in turn have to euthanize them. If you can just take some time to sterilize your animal you can reduce the spread of feline HIV and have less stray animals roaming the streets.
