This petition goes to the Calgary Education Minister/Department, to change their decision of not having online hub this school year.  
We, the parents of kids under 12 are concerned about the safety of students given the rise of the Delta variant and the fact that children under the age of 12 are not eligible to get a vaccine yet.  

No quarantine and testing makes students more susceptible to the risks in the in person schooling system. Wearing masks for 8 hours makes kids’ brain development slow, lower oxygen level gives them headaches and makes it difficult for them to concentrate. The other side effects: increased reluctance to go to school, unhappiness, malaise, impaired learning, drowsiness, and fatigue are all going to give students unforgettable experience. 

We need to fight this smartly. Less exposure is the only way to keep everyone safe!

We request you to provide a safe schooling year to our kids: Online Hub for 2021-2022, the most secure way not just for students but also teachers and families. This would keep the exposure low and keep families safe!
