The Southwest Calgary Ring Road connection project included modifications to Glenmore and the interchange at Glenmore/Sarcee that have elevated nearby traffic noise pollution to an unacceptable level.

The sound abatement measures installed as part of the project scope fail to bring the traffic noise to a reasonable level.  Where many neighborhoods in Calgary which are adjacent to main thoroughfares have an underlying traffic hum, areas close to the above mentioned changes experience noise pollution more akin to being at a Nascar track.

With a unified voice we can better inform City Council on the breadth of impact this project has had on the area, and can leverage that voice to have the problem fixed.
