It's entirely a huge waste of money! There will not be enough riders to benefit this outrageous project that will again bleed the citizens of Calgary of more tax money for a seemingly useless project! Fix the existing infrastructure, Roads, Watermain's, Unsafe Intersections etc! Do any of these politicians drive our roads or drink water?

I am concerned about the complete lack of community engagements on this project and the overall cost which we simply cannot afford with 15% plus increases in taxes t this year alone.

Centre street north is no place to run a train line at ground level, what a traffic nightmare that will create! REAL cities put their trains underground (or way above ground) for a reason.

The new at grade alignment does not work for the stretch from downtown to 16Ave N. The alignment shouldn’t be married to Centre St now that it is above ground. Traveling this route by car will be a disaster now, and street parking is eliminated terrible for local businesses. Cutting through the residential streets will increase.
Previous community engagement/consultation overwhelmingly supported a subway style alignment for this stretch.

I don't think it is a good idea! Totally unnecessary!

We do not need this now - low old prices and COVID lock down have tanked Alberta and Calgary's economy.

I’m signing this petition as a Calgarian for 70 years and I believe now is not the time to push this through City Council just to get one more item through legislation, budget-wise, half baked, with changes that are unknown for those citizens that are impacted in their residential communities; nor should we take on the budgetary load of tunneling under the river at this time! Too many unknowns to let this one get through City Council without proper research! The City will be around for a while yet...
