No Hate Groups Inside Calgary City Hall

No Hate Groups Inside Calgary City Hall
City Hall has been issuing weekend permits to hate groups, such as Street Church, well known to City Council and Law Enforcement as Evangelical Christians who preach hatred towards, the LGBTQ+ community, those who support Women's Reproductive Rights, Muslims, Immigrants, etc. Street Church holds numerous church services using our city hall as their venue. We believe their views are not only outrageous but not in line with our city, and groups with such positions have no place using space in government/city buildings.
Although we fully support the freedom of speech and the freedom of expression, we do not believe government/city buildings should be used to provide a platform for hate, discrimination, and division. That includes weekends when City Hall is not in operation.
We will continue to ask, challenge and pressure the city to revoke permits to hate groups such as Street Church, as we rally support around this issue from all communities of inclusion, religious or otherwise that represent the best of our city.
Please sign and share this petition if you agree that this permit should be revoked!
