Julian Stambene started this petition to Calgary City Council

On February 1st, Calgary city council voted to lower residential speed limits to 40 km/h which would save on 90 collisions a year so they say.  Donating to  this go fund me will help us Calgarians fight against the slower limit. The signage alone is projected to cost the city 2.4 million dollars. With your signatures I can bring this to City council and fight for a change in this quick and uneducated decision by the council. You may think that this doesn’t affect you, but think of the extra time you spend for every commute and roads being extra backed up. The problem is not the speed limit but careless drivers. This is not the way the crackdown on careless drivers. There are many studies to prove that drivers are able to stop effectively at 50km/h
