Students in Alberta and other locations in Canada are under stress due to the Diploma exam. These past years, the Diploma Exam was cancelled due to the outbreak of Covid-19. We are speaking out, expressing our feelings as a community in Alberta. The Diploma Exam needs to be cancelled or optional for the following years, just as it was cancelled or optional in the past years. Students attending high-school in the past years have also experienced difficulties with the learning environment and coping with these changes. Upcoming graduates should also have the right to pick whether or not they want to write the Diploma Exam. Graduates last year and before last year also agree that the Diploma Exam is “problematic and needs to be cancelled or optional.”
