Matthanee Nilavongse & Richard Walker together run The Golden Lion in Todmorden, work tirelessly to help the local community, supports the community, gives to the community, respectful to the community, bring trade to the town  organising events that bring people from all over the world to gather in this small market town making Todmorden quite famous. A big part of the famous Incredible Edible, a community hub, collection point for Freegan boxes, their time is always offered generously. Matthanee & Richard have invested in what was once a run down empty Building, and again after the floods, like so many have done on numerous occasions. They were asked to help brighten up the town (along with other business owners), so they did and brought colour & sunshine to Todmorden painting gable ends yellow. Now they have been asked to return the pub to it's original colour. You may ask with the World at risk from COVID 19, why is this important., it's not just yellow, it's warmth, it's a smile, and most of all hope. With flood defences behind schedule I'm sure Calder Dale Council can put effort, time and money to more worthwhile community issues. Let's support Gig (Matthanee) and Waka (Richard) in bringing colour and for all yellow means magic, warmth & love,to the little town of Todmorden.
