We students of Calcutta Boy's School are physically , mentally and emotionally affected with our school reopening for classes 8 to 12 . The whole year we'd been having online studies so why shall we reopen now amid the menace that his omicron's creating .  the cases have decreased because the schools have remained closed let's not take chances and reopen it now . moreover there's that omicron's sub-type ba.2, deltacron and neocov which are yet to come .It's true that we have been inoculated the 1st dose of covaxin but this doesn't mean that we'll be immune to covid . one the day of taking vaccines were told that we have to be very cautious since we'll be running low on immunity for 15 days similary on our 2nd dose which we have to take within anytime between 17th and 31st Feb , will lessen down our immunity. we will be more vulnerable at that time . and from 21st we have our final exams if by any chance we get infected with covid then we are gonna be held liable by the school . Since we'll be infected with covid we'll have to isolate ourselves for 10 and 10 days amid our exams  means that we won't be able to give 6 to 7 exams which means that we'll be detained in our ongoing class . 

The solution to this is that let's continue online classes till the end of this academic session for classes 8 , 9 and 11 a only . 10 and 12's are very important so it has to be offline but if we don't have offline classes for 8 9 and 11 then it'll be better since the lesser number of people gathering in the school means less scope of virus transmission . Moreover the pupils of class 8 are underage for taking the vaccine so they'll be more prone to the virus ; even some of us of class 9 have been infected  so they too won't be able to take the vaccines . some underaged pupils were given the vaccines for 15 to 18 while they were just 14+ which is very wrong. it is seen in omicron that people who were once infected got infected again after  recovering .

There are many schools which haven't reopened   and some colleges too . If the school reopens then  it is for sure that the cases will uncontrollably increase . Even the school have said that the covid protocols are illustrative and non comprehensive . when you know that the protocols are obsolete and students gathering in such large numbers won't be able to  abide by them then why are we taking risks ?
