Throughout the years that the Houston Texans have been an NFL team, we have suffered through the miseries of David Carr and Matt Schaub. Although we found bright spots in Andre Johnson, JJ Watt, Deshaun Watson, and DeAndre Hopkins, a terrible coach and GM by the name of Bill O’Brien has taken what was once a promising future for the Houston Texans and turned it into nothing but dismal hope for the future. What Bill O’Brien has managed to do as de facto GM in the last two years is incomparable to what the other 31 NFL GMs would do. We all know that Bill O’Brien is a terrible coach as he is not suited to coach in the NFL. A list of failures Bill O’Brien has accomplished was blowing a 24-0 lead to the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2019 AFC Divisional Round. Keep in mind that Bill O’Brien has only won two playoff games since becoming the head coach of the Texans in 2013. Mr. McNair, I really hope that you are frustrated with Bill O’Brien as not only he has been able to meet the expectations of fans as a head coach but also as a GM. Today on March 16, 2020, he had traded DeAndre Hopkins, an ALL-PRO receiver and future HOF,    and one of the best receivers in the NFL, to the Arizona Cardinals for David Johnson who is absolutely past his prime and a second round pick. The fans and pretty much everyone know that this was a ”highway robbery” as this trade was not fair in terms of value. What Bill O’Brien has done here has become the final straw for us Houston Texans fans. Mr. McNair, if you do not want to lose many fans of the Houston Texans, I suggest firing the plague that has fallen on the Texans, Bill O’Brien.

Sincerely,

Alfaaz Aziz Ali and all of Houston Texans fans
