Rally at Cairns Regional Council on Wed 12 Aug

Hello all Spectacled Flying Fox (SFF) supporters! We are now over 47,000 signatures!  Please help us get to 50,000 signatures by Tue 11 August.

Cairns Regional Council originally said they would disperse-evict the SFFs for five days.  Then when it didn't work they extended to 30 days.  As that has also not worked they have extended the eviction to 90 days - well into the final stage of pregnancy and into the birthing season.  How dare they! 

Councillor Rob Pyne who is possibly the only Councillor opposed to the dispersal-eviction will be moving a motion to stop the eviction and asking questions.

We are sending in multiple complaints to Federal and Qld State government and they are launching an investigation!  Let's keep up the pressure!

We will keep building this campaign until we shut down the harassment and eviction of the SFFs, so they can give birth to their new pups in peace!
