Period for the disperal-eviction has been extended for another two months!

The Federal Government has just granted an extension of the Authorisation to Disperse (forcefully evict) the Critically Endangered Spectacled Flying Foxes from the Cairns City Library Nationally Important Camp.

First Cairns Regional Council said the dispersal-eviction would go for 5 days.  Then it was extended to 30 days. 

Now it has been extended again to 90 days even though adult females will begin to give birth to new pups!

The stress resulting from chronic harassment will likely give rise to miscarriages.

What can you do?

1. Send an email to feedback@Cairns.qld.gov.au and Bcc: a copy to XRCairns@protonmail.com so we know what emails Council are receiving.
