Currently, many south Cairns parks and playgrounds are desperate for renovations - some still have the same equipment they did in the early 1990s when we were children.  Many are simply not suitable for a wide age-range of children; parents of younger toddlers in particular don’t have a wide range of options to choose from. The south Cairns community would love to see at least one of our parks rejuvenated into something just as amazing as the Nature Play Park in town. The Centenary Lakes Nature Play Park has proven extremely popular however, due to its North Cairns location, many families do not access it nearly as much as they would if it were closer to home. We’d like one down here; let’s make it happen.
