Cairns has a server lack of health care, with after hours care being non excitant with the only option being the over stretched Cairns Base Hospital with waiting being more then 6hr. There is no after hours medical clinics available with the 24hr medical centre only taking patients with appointments.
We need more options for after hour care and Dr appointments for those who find themselves sick at short notice. We are not a third world country and our health system should reflect that.
