Caddo Parish, Louisiana - Second Amendment Sanctuary Parish
Caddo Parish, Louisiana - Second Amendment Sanctuary Parish
We the law abiding citizens of Caddo Parish request that the government of Caddo Parish Louisiana to declare itself a Second Amendment Sanctuary to protect the rights of its residents.
A Second Amendment Sanctuary refers to resolutions adopted by some jurisdictions in the United States to not expend resources to enforce certain gun control measures perceived as violative of the Second Amendment.
We The People do not authorize or appropriate government funds, resources, employees, agencies, contractors, buildings, detention centers or offices for the purpose of enforcing law that unconstitutionally infringes on the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
The Second Amendment specifically prohibits governmental power and protection of individual liberties. Gun control laws infringe on the rights of law abiding citizens, veterans, and do not help Law Enforcement Officers in their jobs against criminals who obtain guns illegally. The Second Amendment belongs to the people, not the government.
