Attention Cache County: Increase Grading Efforts Along Ant Flat Road

Most of us who own property adjacent to the Ant Flat Road are not year-round occupants of that property.  The majority have residences elsewhere; most live outside of Cache County.  We recognize that our total tax is the summation of taxes levied by several agencies, the largest being the school district.  Those living outside of Cache County place no burden on Cache schools.  Likewise, we receive little and sometimes no services from the additional taxing entities. Those not living in Cache County have no vote.

Many recreate on 4-wheelers and side-by-sides when passable.  Many of those so recreating are not county residents and own no property.  We property owners provide money that helps maintain the recreational opportunity.

The benefit for property owners is the provision for surface transportation across Ant Flat Road, both from the north and the south.

Over the past few years grading of the Ant Flat Road was inadequate.  There are reports of vehicle, trailer and RV damage that has been caused this past year along Ant Flat Road.  The roadway appears better maintained after crossing the Weber/Cache County line.

It is the intent of this petition to help focus the Cache County Roads Department on the Ant Flat Road. We'd ask that you sign it and provide your information.
