Students of the second year higher secondary are asked to give their practical examination in 2021 even during the threat of the pandemic. As of 3 June 2021, there have been 25,83,853 confirmed cases, test positivity rate is at 16% (12.76% cumulative), (more than the national average) with 23,90,779 (90.74%) recoveries and 9,375 deaths in the state. 

Even during the rise of the pandemic the government of Kerala have decided to show the state's guts to abide the norms of education rather than fearing for threats and deaths infront of other parts of the country. Practical examination might call for an increase in the rising new cases and death rates due to covid in the state.
