As members of the BYU community, we recognize the need for a new general course at the university projected to be called "Health Science". This course will provide an introduction to human health, covering the subjects of basic anatomy, physiology, disease, disability, nutrition, mental health, and sexual health. Our vision is that students not planning to take higher-level science courses can enroll in this course to learn the basics of the human body and health maintenance.  This course will be another option available to fulfill the general science core requirement.
