The Botswana Presidency has set as one of it's agendas an objective to achieve development through the Fourth Industry Revolution 4IR. However all Internet Service Providers in the country have not been able to provide stable, reliable and fast connectivity that is commensurate with the infrastructure that the government purports to have developed, even though they market themselves as such. Internet in Botswana is one of the most expensive in the region if not in the world, yet one of the slowest and poorest. On paper (in as far the isp reports are concerned) it might appear as one of the fastest, yet in reality it is the worst. One only needs to browse through posts on the Facebook page of Consumer Watchdog Botswana to see the reality of the poor connectivity and thievery of all these ISPs.

We request the BW Presidency and the relevant Ministry/Minister to step in and rescue the general populace from the thievery being metted out on the citizenry by all these ISPs, with the 3 big network providers (Mascom, BTC & Orange) at the forefront of the thievery.
