Where in the handbook of business does it state a 5-day work week is required to be successful? I firmly believe a 4-day work week would provide measurable benefits to companies and employees.

Benefits that should be considered.

1. Increase in cost-cutting with less overhead expenses
2. More satisfied employees = more productive employees
3. Decrease in burnout among employees = less turnover
4. Fulfills a social responsibility by reducing carbon emissions by commuters. 
5. Better work-life balance = increase in morale
6. Less stress = improved mental and physical health of employees

The pandemic has shown us that alternative working conditions are possible and some studies suggest employees get more done with more autonomy. A 4-day work week would support employees personal lives better in allowing for more family time, hobbies, exercise and rest.
