Open Letter Against Hate

As a community we stand for love, respect, and dignity for all of our neighbors; we are united against hate and committed to racial justice.  It is unacceptable to have acts of hate in our community. We have learned that a Ku Klux Klan poster was attached to the home door of a Black Lives Matter and social justice activist, and we stand in solidarity with her and see this as an incident that affects us all. We call on the Burlington Police Department, our city's elected leaders and all members of our greater Burlington community to ensure safety and justice for all.
